Photologue | Breathing Space: Pakistan’s National Art Gallery, 25–26 Aug 2007

Nearly ten years in the making, Pakistan's National Art Gallery was recently inaugurated and opened to the public on 26 Aug 2007, with an extensive and multi-faceted debut show aptly titled Moving Ahead, which serves as an umbrella for a range of exhibits displayed within the gallery spaces. In total, 14 exhibits encapsulate and showcase approximately 600 works by 126 artists, spanning three generations and six decades. The show features an unprecedented depth and breadth of Pakistani Art, as the works of both established and emerging artists find a democratic space within the gallery.
