This book documents Zhan Wang's thematic solo exhibition at the National Art Museum of China in May 2008. It is a comprehensive collection of works and archival materials related to Zhan Wang's thinking about his celebrated stainless steel Artificial Rock series and other multimedia installations involving stainless steel objects. Included in this catalogue are essays by the exhibition curators and newly commissioned text about the exhibition and its adjoining symposium 'Sculptural Intervention'.
