Initiated in 2000 as a direct response to the increasing number of contemporary
Asian art events worldwide, Asia Art Archive (AAA) is the first ever
research centre dedicated to recording local and regional artistic currents.
To promote understanding and education of contemporary art, the AAA believes
that it is of the utmost importance that developments in this field be
documented and information made easily accessible.
AAA boasts one of the world’s most comprehensive collections of material,
with its database available to the public from its space on Hollywood Road,
and via its website, www.aaa.org.hk .
More than a library, AAA actively organizes a variety of activities, including
talks, lectures, workshops and symposia.
AN ENDOWMENT -
FOR THE FUTURE
After seven years of hard work, building the world’s
most comprehensive and accessible resource for contemporary Asian art,
AAA is looking towards the future. The goal of this year’s fundraiser
is to build an endowment which will ensure that this important resource
is around for generations to come. To make this happen we need your support.
