Cafe @ 20: Pleasing Palates and Feeding Souls since 1988

Image
Every year in March, Cafe by the Ruins, located at 25 Chuntug St. in Baguio City, marks its anniversary with a thanksgiving canao. This March as the Cafe celebrates its 20th anniversary, the occasion has expanded to include a four-day festival from March 26 to 30. The festival will feature an art exhibit, art installations, a poetry reading, the traditional thanksgiving canao, a film showing, performances, workshops, an organic farmer’s market and a concert with Repolyo Revolution, Alikabok, and Spaceflower. Over the last 20 years the Café has become an integral part of the Baguio community and has been the venue of many art and cultural events, always showcasing Baguio’s rich array of talents. The Cafe @ 20 festival, built around the theme, Pleasing Palates and Feeding Souls since 1988, strives to do the same, featuring artists who nurtured and were nurtured by the Cafe. With the exception of a nominal fee for workshops, all events are free and open to the public.
