This is the catalogue for diaspora Chinese artist Wu Shaoxiang's solo exhibition in Hong Kong. Wu is a sculptor who employs stone in his creation, and values the material/medium graciously. He states, "Wherever man has left his traces in stone that is where he has eternaliised the brief span of human life. ...Working stone is for me in a way a means of self-purification. In the struggle with stone you tend to forget imperatives such as culture, art, even the existence of time. The immersion in this ancient craft paves the way to peace and contentment in oneself."
The exhibition showcases Wu's sculptures and paintings, when the present catalogue features only sculptures of his. Artist's biography is included at the back of catalogue.
