The Asia Art Archive believes in the importance of sharing information and resources between like-minded organizations working in the field.
Over the years, AAA has worked with a number of different organizations to initiate workshops, talks and symposia. These include The Hong Kong Arts Centre (Hong Kong) and Art School (Hong Kong), The Substation (Singapore), Chinese University (Hong Kong), Para-Site Art Space (Hong Kong), The Museum of Modern Art (New York), and Guggenheim (New York). Affiliations have also been established for the purpose of exchanging material, with organizations including The Queensland Art Gallery (Brisbane), Vitamin Creative Space (Guangzhou), IVAA (Indonesia), Institute of contemporary Art (Singapore), and A Little Blah Blah (Ho Chi Minh City).
In 2005, AAA organized the first workshop in Asia to look at issues surrounding the documentation of contemporary art, and to call for the setting up of platforms for knowledge sharing and management in the region.
One of the current goals of the AAA is to develop an official network between like-minded archives and organizations in the region, so as to facilitate the sharing of information and to ensure that limited resources are being used in the best possible way.
