AAA seeks Head of Development

We are seeking an experienced and self-motivated individual as Head of Development to play a key role in the creation and implementation of a fundraising strategy that will secure donations from the government, foundations, individuals and corporations. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a dynamic organization.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Create a development plan with the Executive Director and Finance Director to raise revenues to support the strategic direction of the organisation
  • Cultivate strong and trustworthy relationships with patrons and potential patrons
  • Identify and deliver corporate sponsorship opportunities; write and present sponsorship proposals; track and meet grant submission and reporting deadlines
  • Research and draft applications and reports to trusts, foundations and government
  • Manage annual fundraising auction and dinner; oversee and develop patron programmes
  • Actively integrate cross-team planning and collaboration; implement organisational priorities
  • Direct the development team and ensure fundraising administration system runs efficiently
  • Identify and collaborate with potential funders for specific art education initiatives
  • Professionally represent AAA in public and fund raising meetings

The ideal candidate should possess:

  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing or arts related field
  • At least 3-5 years experience in fundraising or art administration; familiarity with Hong Kong a plus
  • Experience in managing fundraising events
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills – ability to network and work well as part of a team
  • Demonstrated success in securing major support from private and public sources
  • Mission-minded with an active interest in the visual arts
  • Detail-oriented and organised with strong multi-tasking skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English; Chinese language skills is an asset
  • Ability to lead multiple long and short-term projects simultaneously; prioritise, plan, coordinate and manage own work while meeting deadlines
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, EXCEL and Power Point
